3 Lessons Learned: Systems

The Parts That Make The Different Hydroponic Systems

Agriculture is considered to be one of the main activities practised by most people either directly in their farms or indirectly through the processes of processing and manufacturing different agricultural products in different factories Agriculture is considered to be the base of most economies with different products which are grown used for local consumption or export activities. Most economies that are well-off have the best agricultural bases that meet most needs of different people. Countries can choose to specialize in different types of agriculture depending on some of the resources that are available in that economy. Due to the fact that different plants grow in climatic conditions and soils that are very different, it is important to decide on the type of agricultural practices that we want to conduct. The most trending agricultural practice which has been greatly adapted by many countries with the advancements in technology is hydroponics.

Hydroponics is classified as a subset of hydroculture which is associated with growing plants with the help of mineral nutrient solutions which are situated in water solvents without having to use soil. Terrestrial plants can be planted with the roots being immersed in the solution. The nutrients used in this agricultural practice are mainly from duck manure, normal nutrients or fish waste. Some of the basic parts that you will require in order to build the different hydroponic systems are growing chambers, reservoirs, submersible pump, simple timers, air pumps, delivery systems and grow lights. The main types of Hydroponic systems which are commonly used are; the Nutrient Film Technique, water culture, wick system, drip system, Aeroponics and ebb-flow.

Aeroponics is a type of hydroponics where roots of different terrestrial plants are kept in environments that are saturated with drops of different nutrient solutions. In most cases, this method does not involve the use of a substrate and just involves growing various plants with their roots highly suspended in growth chambers and in deep air. The fact that this method has excellent aeration makes it to qualify as one of the best hydroponic system.

Ebb-flow systems are types of hydroponic systems that are very common in home hydroponic. This system can be constructed easily using any construction material that may be laying around. The drip system is the most common type of hydroponic system used by many farmers around the world. It is not a hard concept that requires only few parts yet proved to be versatile and effective. In this system, you will be required to drip different nutrient solutions on plant roots with an aim of keeping them moist.

Hydroponics is a good agricultural practice used by different farmers in different economies. Hydroponic has become of the most adapted type of agriculture which uses some mineral nutrient solutions which originate from water solutions.
